Emily Pauw, MD, is Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She has a passion for interdisciplinary education and teaching team and leadership skills.
She grew up in Louisville and bounced back and forth between Kentucky and Tennessee for her undergraduate degree in neuroscience at Vanderbilt, medical school at the University of Kentucky, and emergency medicine residency at Vanderbilt. Dr. Pauw completed residency in 2023 as a chief resident and received the Outstanding Resident Educator, Outstanding Resident Proceduralist, and Resident Researcher awards. She recently completed a fellowship in simulation at Vanderbilt and during her fellowship year, she received the departmental Early Career Teaching Award.
In her free time, she travels the world with her husband and fellow ER doctor, Sunny, and their beloved Shih-Tzu, Max.
