Advanced Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship

Master point-of-care ultrasound.
Develop expert skills in ultrasound education and training.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is a dynamic and rewarding place to master the skills of emergency ultrasound and become an expert ultrasound educator.

Educational Curriculum

We offer a one-year, EUFAC-accredited Advanced Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship program for qualified graduates of an accredited emergency medicine residency program.

After completing the fellowship, our fellows are eligible to sit for the Focused Practice Designation exam offered by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

At the core of our fellowship program is a dedication to high-quality didactic and hands-on training. Vanderbilt Emergency Medicine provides a great deal of resources to augment the fellowship experience, including partnering with the Global Health division to work in Guyana and receiving research mentorship from our research division.

VUMC provides a great deal of collaboration with other specialties. Fellows will become master educators of core emergency ultrasound applications while having opportunities to pursue a focus within the subspecialty.

Faculty

We have an amazing group of faculty in the ultrasound division at Vanderbilt. Each faculty member brings a unique extra set of skills augmenting the experience for our fellows. It also provides a variety of mentors depending on the fellow’s particular area of interest within point-of-care ultrasound.

Application Process
