Why did you choose VUMC Emergency Medicine? 

Vanderbilt EM is a place where everyone cares about helping each other to accomplish the mission. When looking for a residency, I was focused on finding a program that cared about both teaching and learning, with high acuity and clinical excellence, strong camaraderie among the residents, faculty and leadership invested in their residents inside and outside the hospital, in a city with limitless opportunities to explore, and people who I knew who would become lifelong mentors and friends. 

Even though interviews were still virtual, it was obvious on interview day that all of those things and more were present at VUMC. And I couldn't be happier to have matched here. Also, the one-month orientation doesn't hurt either.
