MD, MBA

Graham Van Schaik, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Within emergency medicine he has an interest in operations, resident education and wilderness medicine.
He grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and completed his undergraduate studies in material science and engineering with a concentration in economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He attended medical school at Vanderbilt where, en route to graduation, he took a two-year detour to obtain his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Dr. Van Schaik was thrilled to remain at Vanderbilt for his residency in emergency medicine. He went on to serve as an Assistant Residency Director after completing his residency training before transitioning to his current roles as the Assistant Director of Regional Growth and Strategy and Medical Director of Vanderbilt Tullahoma Harton Hospital.
In his spare time he enjoys rock climbing and planning his next trek.
