The Department of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is deeply committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care for patients with acute illnesses and injuries. Registration is open for the VITAL Course: Vanderbilt Intensive Training in Acute Life-Saving procedures
The new course for emergency medicine physicians and advanced practice practitioners will take place on the Vanderbilt campus Jan. 30, 2026.
Vanderbilt’s nationally recognized Trauma Center treats amazing array of injuries
On a given day, the Vanderbilt Trauma Center may admit multiple gunshot and motor vehicle accident victims. For 27 years, across nearly 100,000 admissions, the Trauma Center’s physicians, nurses and staff have been treating patients.
‘This could happen any day.’ Volunteers and staff pitch in for the first large-scale mass casualty drill held at VUMC in 15 years.
Dozens of people pitched in to help leadership at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt get an up-to-date review of emergency preparedness.
