Alexa Thomas, MD, spent her formative years in Colorado. She attended the University of Denver followed and obtained her medical degree at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Minnesota. She was thrilled to complete her residency training program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she also served as chief resident. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Advanced Clinical Ultrasound at Vanderbilt. She is currently a part of the Emergency Ultrasound Division. Her professional interests include critical care ultrasound, echocardiography, quality assurance, medical education and program recruitment. Outside of work, she enjoys trying new restaurants, live music, hiking, board games, and traveling to visit friends and family.
