Angela Bailey Heidel

Angela Bailey Heidel, MD, aims to increase efficiency in the emergency department while providing compassionate and excellent care for patients who are often experiencing some of life's worst moments. 

She is a native Texan, born in Houston and raised in Carrollton, a suburb of Dallas. She completed her undergraduate education at Xavier University of Louisiana, then attended Meharry Medical College. Dr. Bailey Heidel completed her emergency medicine residency at University of Illinois Chicago. Upon completion of residency, she moved back to Nashville to join her future husband Mark, who was completing his neuroradiology residency and fellowship at Vanderbilt. 

She spends the majority of her time away from the emergency department being wife to Mark and mom to Aubrey and Caleb. She is a foodie, loves trying new restaurants and cooking new recipes.
