Dr. Aubri Charnigo

Aubri Charnigo, MD, is Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her professional interests include wilderness medicine, mountain medicine, and medical education. 

She grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania and completed her medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and her emergency medicine residency at The Ohio State University. Dr. Charnigo completed fellowship training in wilderness and austere medicine at The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Her wilderness medicine training includes a fellowship in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM) and a diploma in mountain medicine (DiMM). 

She is an active member of the Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) and leads the WMS book club. She lives in Nashville and her hobbies including rock climbing, running, hiking, paddling and travel.
