Bradley Blankenship, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is focused on improving the delivery of high-quality healthcare to international populations through the Guyana partnership and locally within the Nashville community. Before joining the Vanderbilt EM faculty in 2025, he served as the global emergency medicine fellow.
Dr. Blankenship grew up admiring Vanderbilt from his hometown an hour north of Nashville in Scottsville, Kentucky. He attended the University of Kentucky for both his undergraduate and medical degrees. After medical school, he continued in Lexington for residency where he served as a chief resident in his final year of training.
In his free time, he enjoys live music, reading fiction novels, traveling to new places, tennis, golf, and anything involving a boat.
