Dr. Dwayne D'Souza

Dwayne D’Souza, MD, is Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He can be found in the emergency department, sports clinic, and covering the Nashville Predators. His professional interests include residency education, ultrasound guided procedures, event and team coverage, and management of the injured athlete. 

Dr. D’Souza completed undergrad at Boston University and medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago where he met his wife. Following medical school, he completed emergency medicine residency at Vanderbilt and then went on to sports medicine fellowship at the University of Utah. He returned to Vanderbilt as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Orthopedics.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, cooking, visiting national parks, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
