Jennifer Hess, MD, is Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and Medical Director, VUMC Homeless Health Service at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She works to develop community collaborations and service-learning opportunities to provide health care for the underserved. 

Dr. Hess' clinical interests center around the ability to create systems and build teams that meet the needs of patients, health care providers and the community. As medical director for the VUMC Homeless Health Service, a hospital-based street medicine team, she works to improve the health of persons experiencing homelessness in Davidson County.  

She is a mother of three talented young adults and wife of a physician leader, making life crazy but joyful and always an adventure.
