Why did you choose VUMC Emergency Medicine? I was initially drawn to this program for its high acuity, excellent didactics, and great collegiality amongst attendings and residents (to name the least). During my interview, I loved all my interactions with faculty and residents and knew from there that I wanted to join the "Vandy fam."

Interests in emergency medicine: Medical education, simulation, ultrasound

Five year plan: Finishing residency and pursuing a role in med student and resident education. Also, getting a dog!

If not EM, what? I learned to scuba dive in Puerto Rico and it was one of my favorite memories. If I wasn't doing EM, I could see myself becoming a diving instructor

Hobbies: Playing piano, exercising, hiking, cooking Puerto Rican food, trying new things (like pickleball) and spending time with friends/family.

Random fact about me: I grew up as a military brat and lived in many places including Japan
