Dr. Jeremy Crook

Jeremy Crook, MD, is Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and board certified in both Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Medicine. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as medical director of several agencies and departments in the mid-state, including Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department, Trousdale County Emergency Services, and the EMT responders at Nashville Zoo. 

Dr. Crook attended medical school at the East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine. He then completed an emergency medicine residency at the University of Kentucky, where he also served as a chief resident. After a few years in academic and community practice, he decided to complete a subspecialty fellowship in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Crook also works with Vanderbilt LifeFlight as an EMS Physician with Event Medicine and as on-line medical control for transport crews. He is actively involved in EMS outreach in the community through the EMS Center of Excellence at Vanderbilt. He continues to maintain a Tennessee Paramedic license as well, having started out as an EMT and volunteer firefighter in Rutherford County prior to medical school.  

In his time off, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, traveling, and having a good cup of coffee with friends.
