Jesse Wrenn, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In addition to his clinical responsibilities in the Vanderbilt and VA emergency departments, he works in the research division, capitalizing on his background in computer science and informatics. He is passionate about using cutting-edge technology to improve research, clinical care and education in emergency medicine.
Dr. Wrenn completed a PhD in biomedical informatics at Columbia University. After several years working with start-ups as a data scientist and programmer, returned to medical school at UT Health Science Center in Memphis. He completed residency in emergency medicine at Vanderbilt.
He is married to Audrey, and they have three children: William, Christopher and Maxine. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, reading, and winning at board games against his children.
