Dr. Joseph Sikon

Joe Sikon, MD, is Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and an EM Residency Assistant Program Director. He is a member of the Simulation Division and works in the Emergency Airway Lab. He also serves as vice chairman of the Emergency Medicine Clinical Competence Committee, and member of the EM Residency Program Evaluation Committee.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he was accepted into a 6-year BS/MD program from high school and graduated summa cum laude from Kent State University in 2012. He received his MD and Certificate of Bioethics from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2016 and completed his emergency medicine residency training at Vanderbilt in 2019. Dr. Sikon went on to complete his fellowship in medical simulation at Vanderbilt in 2020. 

When he's not at work or in the simulation lab, he likes to spend his time lifting at the gym, cooking, and spending time with his wife and chocolate Labrador.
