Julian Suszanski, MD, joined the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Department of Emergency Medicine faculty in 2023 as an Associate Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine. His interests include point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), rTEE, critical care, physician wellness, ultrasound education and biomarkers that can be used in the emergency setting. He has lectured and presented locally, nationally and internationally.
Dr. Suszanski grew up in Hopedale, Mass. and went to medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. Following medical school, he completed residency and an emergency ultrasound fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
He enjoys the outdoors and is an avid cyclist and golfer. He is enjoys exploring middle Tennessee and the Music City with his wife and two young children.
