Kenneth Palm, MD, is director of the Simulation Division for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is passionate about education and is an award-winning teacher. His interests include construction of low cost task trainers for procedural didactics, micro simulation and mastery learning.
He began his medical training at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. At the end of his preclinical years, he transferred to Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he obtained his medical degree. His first residency was in family practice at Florida Hospital in Orlando. His second residency was in emergency medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Palm is an avid runner, married to Janine and they have three sons.
