MD, MS

Leah Colucci, MD, MS, completed her emergency medicine residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, followed by fellowships in emergency medical services and education scholarship. She has strong interests in curriculum development, trainee education and physician advocacy. 

Dr. Colucci has served on various committees of the ACGME, currently serving as the national Chair of the Council of Review Committee Residents and on the Board of Trustees. Additionally, she has been on the board of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) and continues to serve the Academy through leadership with the AMA. Her leadership with AAEM focuses on scope creep and fighting against the corporate practice of medicine. In 2026, she received national awards from CORD, AAEM, and SAEM recognizing her leadership, teaching, and mentorship. 

Prior to her medical career, Dr. Colucci was a marine biologist and still is a part-time mermaid. She loves spending her free time outdoors and traveling the world with her husband, mom, and baby. She will always cheer for her alma mater, the University of Miami, where she completed her undergraduate degrees in Neuroscience and Marine Science, Medical Degree, and Master of Science in Genomic Medicine.
