Dr. Mack Jenkins

Mack Jenkins, MD, MBA, is Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is dedicated to community emergency medicine and especially enjoys caring for the elderly.  

Born and raised in rural Middle Tennessee, he graduated from Portland High School and attended East Tennessee State University (ETSU), graduating with a BA in economics and chemistry. He then took an interim detour getting a master of arts in ministry from Freed-Hardeman University before graduating from the Quillen College of Medicine at ETSU. Dr. Jenkins participated in the Air Force Health Professions Scholarship Program during medical school, and after completing his emergency medicine residency at East Carolina University spent three years at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi.  

Dr. Jenkins returned to Middle Tennessee, working at multiple community hospitals in the area since 2009. He completed his MBA at the Pfeffer School of Business at Lipscomb University in 2022. 

Outside of work, he is a dedicated husband and father of two boys who enjoys traveling with his family, reading, walking his dog, and watching sports.
