Dr. Mary Kate Joran

Mary Kate Jordan, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her academic interests include health systems operations and finance, health care education, global health, and the application of point-of-care ultrasound in low resources areas internationally.

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, she completed her undergraduate degree in economics in Boston, then worked in healthcare administration in the United Arab Emirates before obtaining her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. After completing residency training at the University of South Carolina's Palmetto Health Emergency Medicine Residency, she joined Vanderbilt in 2017 where she completed a fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound.
