Why VUMC: Before my interview, I remember watching all the videos about the program and being so impressed by the camaraderie and how genuinely kind everyone seemed. That feeling completely carried over into my interview and the second look. It was obvious that everyone here is invested in helping residents succeed and supporting one another. I left feeling excited about the program, the chance to learn from such an amazing group of people, and living in Nashville. I'm so grateful to be here!
Interests in EM: Compassionate patient care, global health, rural medicine, hospice and palliative care
Five-year plan: Still figuring out exactly what my future practice will look like, I’m truly open to everything right now. But I hope to be caring for a varied patient population and making a meaningful impact wherever I am!
If not EM, what? In medicine, I also considered OB/GYN and will always be interested in women’s health. Outside of medicine, I would’ve loved to be a florist or have a cozy coffee shop/bakery where people could hang out or enjoy a good book!
Hobbies: Reading, gardening/plants, trying new recipes, traveling, and checking out new coffee shops and restaurants.
Random Fact: I’ve read 60–70 books a year the last couple of years and am always looking for my next book rec!
