Why did you choose VUMC Emergency Medicine? I rotated through the ACE rotation as an MS4, and really enjoyed my time. The faculty, residents, and emergency department support staff made me feel at home and supported, almost as if, I was within the “Vandy fam” already. The culture in the department is truly amazing, and I felt like I grew so much during my month. When it came time to apply, it was difficult to imagine a better place, and I felt like VUMC EM was the obvious choice.
Interests in emergency medicine: Administration, leadership and operations, ultrasound
Five year plan: I want to be done with training (+/- pursuing an MBA/Admin fellowship) and working in a 50/50 community/academic position. I truly want to be a leader within my community and be the best doctor/advocate I can be for my future patients.
If not EM, what? I would be owning my own business. I grew up around the hotel industry as a kid, and have always thought it would be cool to own my own hotel one day.
Hobbies: Cooking, baking, working out, traveling, and business/finance
Random fact about me: I collect cool coffee mugs from all the places I travel.
