Why did you choose VUMC Emergency Medicine? I chose VUMC EM for so many reasons. During my interview day everyone was so kind and welcoming, and I could tell that faculty were truly invested in resident success. Of course VUMC has unparalleled clinical training, high volume, high acuity, excellent teaching - I truly felt that this program would push me to become the best EM physician I could be. I also have lots of family in Nashville and spent every holiday here growing up, so matching at Vanderbilt was a dream come true!

Interests in emergency medicine: Social EM, addiction medicine 

Five year plan: Complete residency at VUMC, possibly fellowship, hopefully start a family

If not EM, what? Open a thoroughbred rescue or be a personal chef 

Hobbies: Equestrian sports, weightlifting, running, hiking, hanging out with my goofy border collie, cooking 

Random fact about me: I've ridden horses my entire life and competed in dressage and eventing in college!
