W. Chris Wooster, DO, is Instructor in Clinical Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, he received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of the South, Sewanee. Between college and medical school, he traveled in the western United States where he cultivated his love for the outdoors. Dr. Wooster received his medical degree from the Kentucky College of osteopathic medicine and completed a joint residency in internal and emergency medicine at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. After several years working in community medicine in central Tennessee, he joined the emergency department at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital.

Chris lives in East Nashville with his wife and their two sons. He is a passionate University of Kentucky sports fan and enjoys being outside, traveling and seeing live music.
